Grade 3 Concert Band Piece.

This piece is a great way to introduce 5/4 time to your band. Students will LOVE all the cool Extended Techniques used to characterize "The Machine!" Such as Brass Air Sounds, Triangles dipped in water, inverted cymbal roll on timpani...AND MORE! The syncopated and playful "Ghost" theme presents an achievable challenge for your students. It's a certified EAR WORM and once your students master the first 4 measures of the main theme, teaching the rest of the piece is easy. Even occasional meter shifts are introduced in ways that your students will understand and appreciate. Such as when the machine starts "Buffering" and modulates back and forth between 3/4 and 5/4 bars.
